Tiers

There are eight tiers: Crude, Chipped, Standard, Flawless, Royal, Grand, Horadric and Flawless Horadric. The Jeweler crafts up to Grand. The last two are made in the Horadric Cube.

Crafting

Grand gems are crafted at the Jeweler from Gem Fragments. Salvaging spare gems gives fragments back. The Jeweler can also convert one gem type into another.

What each gem does

In a weapon, every gem is a damage multiplier for its element. In armour it gives a stat. In jewellery it gives resistance.

Weapon values

Season 15: Soul Splinters

Soul Splinters are seasonal socketables for jewellery only, so three can be worn: amulet and both rings. Leoric's Crown makes the helm count as jewellery, which adds room for more. Only one of each kind counts. Each gives a resistance and a strong bonus, and most also carry a drawback.
